DrivingRoutes ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use the DrivingRoutes iOS application.

1. Information We Collect

DrivingRoutes is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the app.

The following data is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Your personal notes added to routes
• Your practice session history (routes driven, duration, difficulty ratings)
• Your favourite routes
• Your preferred test centre and app settings

2. Location Data

DrivingRoutes requests access to your device's location for the following purposes:

• To determine your distance from a route start point
• To provide turn-by-turn navigation on practice routes

Your location is used only while the app is in use and is not stored, logged, or transmitted to us at any time.

3. Third-Party Services

DrivingRoutes uses the following third-party services which have their own privacy policies:

• Mapbox – used for turn-by-turn navigation. Mapbox may collect anonymised usage data in accordance with their Privacy Policy.
• Apple App Store / StoreKit – used to process subscription payments. Apple handles all payment information. We do not receive or store your payment details. See Apple's Privacy Policy.

4. Subscriptions

DrivingRoutes offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly and monthly) processed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect or store any billing or payment information.

5. Analytics and Tracking

We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We do not track you across apps or websites.

6. Children's Privacy

DrivingRoutes is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Data Retention

All data (notes, session history, settings) is stored locally on your device using Apple's standard storage mechanisms. You can delete all app data at any time by uninstalling the app or using the "Clear All Progress Data" option within the app's Settings tab.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
